Louise Kelly is a keyboardist and vocalist with 15 years’ professional experience. A classically trained pianist from childhood, she studied jazz piano at Northern Illinois University and North Central College. As a seasoned performer, Louise has played professionally in night clubs and for a wide variety of occasions: solo concerts, wedding ceremonies, receptions, memorial services, church worship, and community events.

A credentialed music educator, Louise Kelly has classroom teaching experience at a variety of suburban public schools. She has facilitated classroom music instruction for General Music, directed and accompanied choirs, and produced school concerts for up to 210 choir students. She has taught in several schools in the Midwest as well as elementary schools in California. In addition, she works as a private piano teacher. Louise is a dynamic instructor specializing in interactive, ensemble-based experiences wherein students learn by doing.

Louise’s music skills make her a dynamic leader in performance, as well. She has directed church bands, cover bands, and various original projects. Comfortable in supporting roles, too, she is a competent accompanist and back-up singer.

Currently, Louise performs locally with her Jazz Trio (piano, bass and drums) for private parties, receptions, wine-tastings, and other events. On any given weekend one might find her providing piano and vocal music for weddings, both for ceremonies and for receptions. In March, 2010, she released her debut album, Cave Paintings and Silent Movies, showcasing her original songs. Louise lives in a suburb of Chicago where she is raising her two daughters, Bella and Noelle. She is currently employed in Hazel Crest, Illinois as a Middle School General Music and Choir Teacher.
