I imagine myself as a tree. I think you’re a tree, too. We are rooted in the earth, reaching up to the heavens. We are home to other creatures as well, and we produce different things for sharing: shade, sap, leaves, flowers, fruit and more.
It seems to me that we are all like trees.
I see myself as a fruit tree. All the nourishment I receive from the natural world helps me to bring about my offering, my fruit that I share with the world. Each of my fruits is song; I hope that people will put my songs into their mouths and sing along. I hope this fruit will nourish body and soul. I hope these songs will help us to harmonize with the natural world.
